Frederick Achom was born in 1974 in Lagos, Nigeria, to a businessman father and housewife mother. Achom, along with his two brothers and sister was sent to private boarding schools in England in 1982 where he completed his education. Upon completion of his schooling, Frederick returned to Nigeria to study medicine, giving it up after only a year and half and returning to London.

On his return, Frederick Achom spent several years working in the financial sector of the city as a junior surveyor and training as a financial sales consultant. During these years he obtained a solid grounding for his future career, as well as acquired the knowledge and experience required to start out on his own. the sale of City Business Partners, his business development and consultancy agency, to the London firm of EGC marked a turning point in his career. 

In 2003 Achom founded the Rosemont Group of Companies, a privately owned holding company of which he is Chairman. The company is based in the Virgin Islands and boasts a broad range of investments and activities from luxury consumer products, property development in the UK, to the telecoms sales in Western African. As part of a trend of diversification in its international luxury brands, Achom’s Rosemont Group recently invested in a large winery in Australia, and is in negotiations for the purchase of  of the Bennets restaurant chain in the UK. The recent investment in, and acquisition of, the UK based Property Clinic Group is evidence of the expansion of the Rosemont Group's land and property division. Exclusive members only clubs and high end Italian kitchens are also part of the Rosemont Group portfolio. Today, seven years after its establishment, the Rosemont Group is worth approximately $30 million, providing solid testimony to Frederick Achom’s astute business sense.

Achom is both a self-confessed “serial investor” and a firm believer in following one’s hopes and dreams. In this spirit, Frederick is developing a new concept that will completely change the approach to dining out. Preparations are underway for the opening of a new restaurant in Los Angeles, which enjoys the support of some of Hollywood’s top celebrities. The grand opening is planned for early 2011. 

Frederick Achom makes sure to keep up to date with current trends through his affiliation with a number of professional groups. As well as his position in the Rosemont Group, Achom is also a shareholder in several other ventures, among them Hanover Bars Ltd., Universal Properties Ltd. and Caseflight Ltd.

Achom and his girlfriend of many years, Znotima, have a son Wolffe and a daughter, Tigerlily. They divide their time between Paris and London. Achom plays several sports, collects art, wine and antiques and lives by his motto "to focus on what you're doing – and to be authentic and individual”.
